How to connect the Better Resto Portal app to the Star Micronics
1. Set up your printer
Connect the power cord to your printer and an electrical outlet.
Turn your printer on and wait for the blue light to stop blinking.
Insert your paper roll.
You are now ready to connect your printer using Bluetooth.
2. Connect the printer to the tablet
Enable Bluetooth on Tablet: Open the Settings app on your Android tablet. Navigate to Bluetooth settings and turn Bluetooth on.
Pair the Printer with the Tablet:
In the Bluetooth settings, look for the printer name, usually "TSP100-XXXX" where "XXXX" is a unique identifier.
Tap on the printer name to start pairing. If prompted, enter the PIN code, which is usually "1234" or "0000".
Confirm Connection: Once paired, the printer will appear under "Paired Devices" in your Bluetooth settings, and the blue LED on the printer will turn solid.
3. Connect the printer to the app
Once inside the app, click on the General Button:
Locate and tap the General button at the bottom right of the screen.
Search for Devices:
Under Printer Settings, tap on Search for Devices.
Select and Connect the Printer:
The printer's name should appear in the list. Tap on Connect.
Test the Printer:
Once connected, you’ll see an option labeled Print Test Receipt.
Tap this option to print a test receipt.
Finalized
Orders will automatically print upon approval or press the print button inside the orders.
